Mr Teh Tarik is a halal-certified F&B chain offering predominantly Indian cuisine in Singapore. It had humble beginnings and started as a small kiosk offering its signature Teh Tarik in 2004. Since then, it has expanded to 7 brands including Mr Teh Tarik Express, Mr Teh Tarek Cartel, Mr Teh Tarik Deli, Mr Teh Tarik Eating House, My Briyani House, Jubilee and Jubilicious that serve Indian and Malay food other than just beverages.

Mr Teh Tarik Express Review (SingPost Centre)
Mr Teh Tarik Express at SingPost Centre is located at Basement 1 of the shopping mall. Though the mall does not have an underground link to the Paya Lebar MRT station, it has a sheltered walkway on the ground floor to the interchange station. As such, public transportation is conveniently accessible.
We were looking for an early dinner on a Saturday around 4;30pm and came across Mr Teh Tarik Express. Though there were a couple of diners in the restaurant, 4 to 5 tables were still vacant. Since there were still seats available, both of us proceeded to the counter to place our order. We have been to their outlet at Changi Airport Terminal 3 a few times and have tried their Prata Sets that comes with Curry Chicken Drumstick and Teh Tarik. We were pretty satisfied with the taste and quality of their Curry Chicken. Their curry was thick, savory and exudes a strong spicy aroma. Taken together with their fresh and tender chicken, it was a great combination. We highly recommend diners to try their Curry Chicken, whether as ala carte with rice or bread, or as a set with prata.
For this trip, we decided to go for something lighter. We ordered 3 Plain Prata (3 x $1.60), 1 Prata Egg ($2.20) and 1 hot Kopi O ($1.40). Communication with the cashier took awhile as he was not very conversant with English. Nonetheless, he was polite and got our order after we repeated our orders a few times.
Subsequently, we paid for our food, took the Kopi O that was prepared by the cashier, and were then given a queue buzzer as our prata were being freshly made to order. It took about 10 minutes before our number was paged to collect the prata. The appearance of the prata was typical of those we had seen but we noticed that the curry given was not the usual curry with potatoes but fish curry (our favourite).
After taking a few bites of the Plain Prata and Prata Egg together with the curry, we find that the flatbreads were fine but nothing outstanding. It tastes typical of those sold at neighbourhood coffeeshops and hawker centres. One of the better pratas we recently had were from Prata Wala, which were crispy and comes with a buttery taste. However, we liked the savory fish curry gravy that is offered here at Mr. Teh Tarik Express.
Their Kopi O was rather diluted and nothing like those served at Ya Kun or Toastbox. We tried their Teh Tarik at Changi Airport previously and would recommend prospective diners to order that and skip their Kopi O. In summary, we find the quality of their food slightly above average in general (considering our previously experiences with their Curry Chicken) but nothing spectacular. We rate their food quality a 3.7/5, their value-for-money a 3.2/5, their service a 3.2/5, and their dining environment a 3.5/5.
