Hamilton Musical 2024 is coming to Singapore and will be playing at the Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands (MBS) from 19 April - 26 May 2024. Part of the TONY, GRAMMY, OLIVIER & PULITZER prize-winning musical's international tour, the show features a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway to present the story of American founding father, Alexander Hamilton and the history of America.
Amitabha Buddhist Centre Vesak Day Celebration 2024 (阿弥陀佛佛教中心卫塞节庆典2024) is set to happen from 19 - 22 May 2024 at the open space adjacent to Aljunied MRT station. The four-day celebration will encompass a variety of activities including prayers, rituals, ceremonies, and blessings. Additionally, attendees can participate in coloring contests, enjoy complimentary vegetarian meals and choir performances on Vesak Day.
Kong Meng San Vesak Festival 2024 (光明山普觉禅寺卫塞节庆祝活动2024), a series of activities commemorating the birth, enlightenment and parinirvana of Lord Buddha, will be held from 21 - 22 May 2024 at Singapore's largest Buddhist monastery. In addition to the customary Vesak Day practices such as the Buddha bathing rituals 浴佛, light transference 传灯 and "Three Steps, One Bow 三步一拜" ceremonies, and the Thousand Buddha Repentance Puja prayers 礼拜千佛法会, visitors to the temple this year can also engage in a variety of family-oriented activities. These include sessions of Chinese calligraphy, sutra transcription, yoga, and a vegetarian food festival.
