Mun Ting Xiang Locations & Outlets 满庭香
Mun Ting Xiang 满庭香 at 51@AMK, formerly known as Mun Ting Xiang Tea Hut, was most recently located in ERA Centre at Toa Payoh Central until August 2021. In the mid 1990s, the brand started off at Jubilee Square in Ang Mo Kio Central. After more than 20 years, they are now back to serve the residents of AMK.
We were initially confused between them and another Mun Ting Xiang Cha Xuan in Hougang, but we have now ascertained that they operate under the same owners. The owners were inconsistent with their branding over time, but if you come across a Mun Ting Xiang Pte. Ltd., Mun Ting Xiang AMK pte. Ltd., Mun Ting Xiang Tea Hut, Man Ting Xiang Tea House or Man Ting Xiang Cha Xuan online, all of them belong to the same company. You just have to note the one whether the outlet in question refers to the one in Hougang or Ang Mo Kio.

Mun Ting Xiang Review (Ang Mo Kio)
Mun Ting Xiang’s outlet at Ang Mo Kio Central is located on the third storey of 51@AMK (formerly known as Big Mac Centre). It used to house Striker’s Bowl – a bowling alley – but has now been taken up collectively by Mun Ting Xiang, a claw machine operator and a billiard & pool centre.
To reach Mun Ting Xiang’s restaurant, one has to take the lift right in front of S11 coffeeshop up to the third floor (Note: the escalator next to the bakery only serves up to level 2). As the lift door opens on reaching the third floor, we were a little taken aback as Mun Ting Xiang’s counter and kitchen was just right in front of us, literally. The entire level 3 is shared with a billiard & pool centre and some claw machines, with minimal partitions between them.
There is a dining area that is larger than the outlet’s previous outlet in Toa Payoh though. We feel the environment is unwelcoming and does not fit into our usual perception of a restaurant. It didn’t help that their staff was busy with his mobile game despite having no customer in the queue nor at the dining area.
Since we went there with the objective to review their food & new outlet, we continued to check out their hardcopy menu. We were surprised that they have changed their menu and pricing. Their no longer serve any S$5.90 value sets like when they were in Toa Payoh. They now have an identical menu as their branch in Hougang. As we have recently dined at the Hougang branch and that neither the place nor the staff was that welcoming, we did not proceed with having our dinner on the visit. Nevertheless, you could check out our food review on Mun Ting Xiang (The Midtown) instead.
Without rating the food quality at this outlet, we give its location & environment a 2.5/5 and its service a 2.5/5.
