Istana Open House 2024 (National Day)

Istana Open House 2024 (IOH 2024) for National Day is set to be held on 28 July 2024, at the presidential residence and office situated along Orchard Road.

In addition to engaging in communal sports and art activities, and enjoying National Day-themed performances by schools, community groups, and local talents, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Istana Heritage Gallery and join guided tours. To satisfy hunger pangs, food trucks, local snacks, and refreshing drink stalls will be available throughout the day.

Entry to the Istana grounds is free for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents, with charges applicable for non-residents.

Tours, food, souvenirs, and entry to the Istana Main Building incur additional charges. Only cashless payments via Credit/Debit Card & QR Code will be accepted at this event. Accepted payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Union Pay, JCB, Bank of China, Citibank, DBS, HSBC, ICBC, Maybank, OCBC, PayNow, Standard Chartered, and UOB.

Notes:

• Free entry to the Istana Heritage Gallery for all visitors.
• The Istana Main Building Guided Tours are conducted by volunteers from the National Heritage Board. The tours are limited to 15 persons per group and depart every every 30 minutes from 9:30am to 5:00pm.
• The Nature Guided Tours are conducted by volunteers from NParks. The tours are limited to 20 persons per group and depart every hour from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
• All fees collected for the event will go towards charities supported by the President’s Challenge.

 

 

Registration

The Istana will be open to walk-ins on 28 July 2024 (Sunday), from 8:30am to 6:00pm. No registration or ticket application is necessary.

The Istana serves as the official residence and office of the President of the Republic of Singapore. While typically reserved for hosting state guests, it opens to the general public at least five times a year. This Open House not only offers a rare glimpse into the Istana’s interiors but also fosters meaningful engagement between the President and the public.
