    Chinatown Chinese New Year Festival 2025 (2025年牛车水农历新年庆祝活动), Singapore's iconic Lunar New Year celebration in the historic Chinese quarter, returns from 30 December 2024 - 27 February 2025! With the Chinese Zodiac sign of the Snake marking the new year, this year’s decorations will feature stunning snake-themed lanterns, lights and ornaments adorning four major streets in the Chinatown district. Other than capturing beautiful photos with the festive displays, visitors can immerse themselves in a variety of traditional activities, including shopping at the lively Chinese New Year (CNY) bazaar, joining art workshops, enjoying Chinese cultural performances, and participating in the much-anticipated CNY countdown party.

    Spring Blossoms 2025 (Singapore)

    Spring Blossoms 2025 (滨海湾花园《白蛇传》新春花卉2025), the annual floral display held during the Chinese New Year season, is returning to the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay (GBTB) from 17 January to 23 February 2025. This year’s theme, "Spring Blossoms: Legend of Lady White Snake", is inspired by one of China’s four great folklores, the Legend of the White Snake. The exhibition features over a thousand dahlias, including five new varieties, alongside a striking 4.5-metre tall sculpture of Madam White Snake at the center.

    Light to Night Festival 2025, a flagship event of Singapore Art Week, will take place from 17 January to 6 February 2025, centered around the Asian Civilisations Museum and other downtown venues. Coinciding with the Chinese New Year (CNY) festivities, this year’s festival will feature outdoor art installations, an art fair, craft activities, and performances that celebrate the architectural beauty of pagodas and the wonders of the celestial world. On select dates, there will also be traditional Chinese performances, including Getai and lion dance shows.

This year, the garden will reveal breathtaking Lunar New Year-inspired landscaping, complemented by festive lantern displays around its iconic landmarks, including the Twin Pagoda, Grand Arch and Stoneboat.

    River Hongbao 2025 (春到河畔 2025), a highlight of Chinese New Year (CNY) celebrations in Singapore, is set to return for 10 days from 27 January - 5 February 2025 at Gardens by the Bay (GBTB) to usher in the Year of the Snake. In keeping with tradition, visitors can take photos with the stunning God of Fortune statue at the The Meadow and marvel at the lunar new year lanterns, lights, and decorations, all themed around this year's zodiac sign, the Snake.

    Istana Open House 2025 (IOH 2025) for Chinese New Year will be held on 2 February 2025 at the Presidential Residence and office, situated along Orchard Road. Apart from exploring the stunning Istana grounds, visitors can enjoy a rich variety of cultural activities, including Chinese dance and musical performances, lion and dragon dance shows, a Chinese calligraphy demonstration, and candle-making workshops. The Istana Heritage Gallery will also be open for exploration with guided tours available. To satisfy hunger pangs, food trucks, local snacks and refreshing drink stalls will be available throughout the day.

Attendees will immerse in a vibrant festive atmosphere, marvel at intricately designed Chingay floats and enjoy multicultural street performances by over 4,000 talented community performers. This year’s Chingay parade features floats inspired by Singapore’s vibrant food culture, a special SG60 showcase with 60 lion dancers and drummers to mark Singapore’s 60th birthday, and a brand-new immersive parade experience that brings the audience closer to the action than ever before.
