    Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebration 2022 (2022 年牛车水农历新年庆祝活动) includes a series of celebratory activities that will be held in the Chinatown area. It starts from 7 January with the Chinatown street light-up and opening ceremony, followed by in-person events in Chinatown and a series of online workshops to prepare for the Chinese New year in between, and finally ends off with lights-off in early March. This event is organized by the Kreta Ayer - Kim Seng CCC and supported by the People's Association, Chinatown Business Association and Singapore Tourism Board.

Apart from taking photos with the dragon installations and festive lightings, visitors can look forward to participating in a host of festive activities from shopping for CNY merchandise, participating in art workshops, watching Chinese cultural performances, to attending the CNY countdown party during this period.

With the Chinese Zodiac sign of the Snake marking the new year, this year’s decorations will feature stunning snake-themed lanterns, lights and ornaments adorning four major streets in the Chinatown district. Other than capturing beautiful photos with the festive displays, visitors can immerse themselves in a variety of traditional activities, including shopping at the lively Chinese New Year (CNY) bazaar, joining art workshops, enjoying Chinese cultural performances, and participating in the much-anticipated CNY countdown party.
