Kampong Gelam Ramadan Bazaar 2023 (Raikan Cahaya Ramadan 2023) is back from 15 March to 16 April 2023! This year’s edition features more than 100 halal food and retail booths, and a host of activities from light projection shows, traditional and modern dances, drone displays, to live music performances that will keep all visitors entertained throughout the month-long event.
Over 80 food stalls and food trucks stationed along footpaths and roads in the district will offer visitors a galore of both traditional festive food and contemporary street snacks. Beside having access to a wide range of food choices, 23 retail booths selling a variety of modern arts, traditional crafts, and locally-designed apparels will also provide diners a unique and artistic shopping experience after meals.
And from Fridays to Sundays, patrons can look forward to taking photos with light projections that illuminate the façade of the iconic Sultan Mosque, get engrossed in drone-controlled LED kites flying in the air, and watch dance and live music performances on the main stage at Baghdad Street Carpark.
A mass iftar will be held on a Saturday evening to promote the community spirit of iftar and to raise funds for the less fortunate.
