Year 2025 Tai Sui Guide Singapore (太岁2025)

When and where to pray to Tai Sui in Singapore - Return Tai Sui
2025 is the year of the wood snake. For those who are born in the year of snake, pig, tiger, and monkey, you are in conflict with Tai Sui in 2025. Find out how to pray and return Tai Sui.

What are the Chinese zodiacs in conflict with Tai Sui in 2025 Year of Snake?

2025 is the Year of the Wood Snake in the lunar calendar. Below are the zodiac signs that are in conflict with Tai Sui in 2025:

Snake

If you are born in the year of 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, or 2013 in the lunar calendar, your zodiac sign is snake.

As 2025 is the year of snake which is also your sign, you are in conflict with Tai Sui (值太岁). You may encounter uncertainties in various aspects of life, including your health, career, and personal well-being.

In 2025, while some uncertainties may arise, the good news is that you can still expect moments of good luck. Try to be prudent and be extra cautious when it comes to investments.

Pig

If you are born in the year of 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007 or 2019 in the lunar calendar, your zodiac sign is pig.

Pig is directly opposite snake in the Chinese Zodiac Wheel. As 2025 is the year of the snake, people born in the year of the pig will also be in conflict in Tai Sui (冲太岁). You may experience significant shifts in career and lifestyle compared to last year.

In 2025, be more risk-averse when it comes to financial decisions and stay low profile at work. Practice patience and be more tolerant of your family, friends, and colleagues, and treat every interaction with an open heart and an open mind.

Tiger

If you are born in the year of 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, or 2022 in the lunar calendar, your zodiac sign is tiger.

In 2025, people born in the year of the tiger will encounter two types of tai sui. The first one is “harming tai sui” (害太岁), which is the worst among the types of tai sui. The second one is “crime tai sui” (刑太岁), which mostly affects wealth, especially business owners or those who are self-employed.

You may experience a mix of below-average luck and good luck in your career, wealth, and relationship throughout the year.

As long as you practise mindful speech, be calm and avoid getting into any quarrels with others, 2025 may turn out to be a blessed year for you.

Monkey

If you are born in the year of 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004 or 2016 in the lunar calendar, your zodiac sign is monkey.

People born in the year of the monkey will also encounter two types of tai sui in 2025. The first one is “breaking tai sui” (破太岁). Luckily, this type of tai sui is the least severe among the types of tai sui. Breaking tai sui usually affects interpersonal relationships, from couples, and family to workspace relationships. The second one is “crime tai sui” (刑太岁), which mostly affects wealth.

In 2025, you may encounter challenges in managing your interpersonal relationships. By staying patient and relaxed and avoiding any disputes which may snowball into serious matters, the year has the potential to turn out well after all. You are advised to avoid big expenditures or investments and always take good care of your health!

Dragon

Depending on different interpretations, some temples (a minority of them) may list dragon as one of the zodiacs in conflict with Tai Sui while some temples may not.

This is because one school of thought believes that the zodiac in conflict with “crime tai sui” (刑太岁) in 2025 is dragon, while another suggests it is the tiger and monkey.

If you are born in the year of 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012 or 2024 in the lunar calendar, your zodiac sign is dragon. In 2025, by maintaining a balanced lifestyle and putting in dedicated effort toward your goals, you can make this year even more rewarding than the last!

To settle your Tai Sui, you can visit temples that include dragon in their Tai Sui list, such as Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum, Ang Chee Sia Ong Temple, etc.

What should you do if you are born in the year of snake, pig, tiger, or monkey?

Many people may wonder if your zodiac sign is in conflict with tai sui, does this mean that you will have bad luck throughout the year? Should you avoid all major decisions from buying cars to buying properties?

No. When you have conflicts with tai sui, you are encouraged to work hard, be nice to others, stay positive, stay calm, take only calculated risks, and take extra precautions in major decisions. However, people not having conflicts with tai sui should also practise these principles in everyday life.

If your zodiac sign is in conflict with tai sui, you can head to any Taoist temple with Tai Sui God in Singapore to settle your tai sui (安太岁). Just tell them your zodiac sign and they will let you know what to do. Depending on the temple that you go to, you will usually be required to do the following:

  • Provide your Chinese name and date & time of birth
  • Buy a set of joss papers and joss sticks
  • Pray to the Tai Sui God
