Step-by-Step Guide

Phone banking is the most convenient way to waive UOB annual fee or membership fee for credit cards such as UOB One, UOB Absolute Cashback, UOB EVOL, UOB Lady’s, Krisflyer UOB, UOB PRVI Miles, UOB Visa Infinite Metal, UOB Preferred Platinum Visa, Singtel-UOB, UOB Visa Signature, Metro-UOB, etc. Follow these steps:

  1. Call 1800-222-2121 or (65) 6222 2121 when calling from overseas
  2. Press 1 for English
  3. Press 2 for chat services and phone banking
  4. Press 2 for phone banking
  5. Press 2 for fee waiver and application status
  6. Press 1 for credit card fee waiver
  7. Press 1 for membership fee waiver 
  8. Enter your credit card number, followed by the # key
  9. Enter your 8 digits mobile phone number, followed by the # key if requested
  10. Your UOB credit card membership and annual fee waiver will be submitted and processed. You will be updated with an SMS once it is successfully processed.

There’s currently no options to waive membership fee or annual fee through UOB Mighty app. Alternatively, UOB credit card holders may also apply for annual fee waiver online through UOB Chat Assist by following the steps below:

  1. Visit https://www.uob.com.sg/personal/chat.page
  2. Click on the chat icon at the bottom right of the screen
  3. Enter security check code
  4. Select Fee Waiver
  5. Select Credit Card
  6. Select Membership Fee
  7. Enter your credit card number
  8. Enter the OTP sent to your mobile phone number
  9. Your UOB credit card membership and annual fee waiver will be submitted and processed. You will be updated with an SMS once it is successfully processed.

What if your UOB annual fee / membership fee waiver request got rejected?

It is not uncommon for your annual fee waiver request to get rejected even when you have been using the credit card for payments frequently.

If this happens, you can chat with UOB’s live-chat service representative via the UOB Chat Assist.

  1. Visit https://www.uob.com.sg/personal/chat.page
  2. Click on the chat icon at the bottom right of the screen
  3. Enter security check code
  4. Select Chat with us
  5. You will be required to enter either your NRIC or card number, and a OTP sent to your mobile phone number
  6. Inform the representative that your annual fee waiver got rejected and would like to request for fee waiver
