THH Ride & Run to Restore 2022 is a fundraising cycling and running event to commemorate the 35th anniversary of The Helping Hand (THH). It comprises of a virtual segment from 1 June to 1 July 2022, and a in-person segment on 2 July 2022.
For the virtual segment, participants could opt to cumulatively walk, run or cycle for either 35km or 350km over the one month period.
For the in-person segment known as ‘Going the Extra Mile” (GtEM), participants could opt to run or walk 3.5km, or cycle 35km, and have an opportunity to interact with an ex-offender and gain an insight of his journey of restoration.
The Helping Hand (THH) is a Christian halfway house that focuses on the rehabilitation of former drug addicts. The organisation adopts a holistic approach for life transformation by providing full cycle support to ex-offenders, including family counseling, life-skills learning and after-care services. Since 1987, THH has helped more than 2,400 ex-offenders reintegrated back to society as contributing members.
