Singapore Design Week 2023 (SDW 2023), the premier design festival in Southeast Asia, will be back this year from 21 September to 1 October 2023. Themed ‘Better by Design’, this edition champions the embodiment of the desire to always seek to make lives better using design in Singapore’s design scene. Design exhibitions, fairs, marketplaces, tours, showcases, talks and symposiums are expected to be held at various locations in Singapore during this 11-day event.
Event Highlights
- FIND – Design Fair Asia 2023
- This is primarily a furniture, interiors & design trade show that connects suppliers with buyers in Asia. However, a Southeast Asia design showcase themed ‘Create + Industry: Man + Machine” will be exhibiting works by 50 emerging designers in the region on the side of the event.

- School of Tomorrow
- This is a showcase curated by designer Pann Lim, exploring how we might build a sustainable city by design and inspire the next generation to be more sustainable.

- Future Impact: Homecoming Showcase
- ‘Future Impact’ is a design showcase in which six Singaporeans shared their works embodying sustainability and future-focused thinking at the Milan Design Week 2023 earlier this year. The showcase is now being brought back to the SDW 2023, the artists’ home shore.

- Fashion Waste Illustrated
- This exhibition features installations made from a combination of physical items and data visualisation to illustrate the escalating volumes of textile waste in Singapore.

- Themed ‘Love for Design, Embracing Sustainability’, this event consists of interior design lectures, showcases, showroom tours, and community-centred activities for the professional and public.
