Singapore Design Week 2022 is Southeast Asia’s premier design festival, leading the agenda on Design Futures, Design Marketplace and Design Impact. It will be held from 16 – 25 September 2022 in Singapore.
The festival will be organised around three core pillars:
SDW 2022 will kick off with a symposium featuring thought leaders from around the world. Led by an international curator, the Design Futures pillar aligns with Singapore’s reputation as a futuristic city of design and our strengths as an innovation economy, a leader in systems and emerging design, and a testbed for new design solutions.
An international trade fair, FIND – Design Fair Asia 2022, convenes the best of East and West through a curated showcase of country pavilions, global brands, independent international designers, galleries and manufacturers. Integrated with FIND will be a specially curated SEA design talent showcase that will present established and emerging SEA designers. FIND is organised in partnership with Fiera Milano, dmg events, MP Singapore and STB, with an international curator leading the SEA design talent showcase. The Design Marketplace pillar shines the spotlight on one of the world’s fastest growing regions and its emerging talent; and aligns with Singapore’s position as a Global-Asia hub and gateway to Southeast Asia.
Immersive tours, showcases and experiences presenting innovative real-life design solutions that address pressing global challenges while creating positive impact and meaningful change. Anchored by President*s Design Award (P*DA) and featuring Good Design Research (GDR), the Design Impact pillar aligns with Singapore’s design values and our strengths as a prototyping city for regenerative and sustainable urban solutions.
