Ngee Ann City National Lion Dance Championships 2024, featuring the semifinals and finals of Singapore’s prestigious annual lion dance competition, will return to Ngee Ann City along Orchard Road from 2 – 7 September 2024. Zonal competitions will precede these dates in July to determine qualifying teams.
Now in its 28th edition, the championship showcases both Northern and Southern lion dances, with multiple troupes and groups competing for top honours across three main categories: traditional Southern, freestyle high-steps Southern, and freestyle Northern. Additionally, sub-categories in the traditional Southern lion dance category will be available for female participants, teenagers, and children under 13 to join in the excitement.
The public is welcomed to watch the competition, and admission is free of charge.
