Chinatown Chinese New Year Festival 2025 (2025年牛车水农历新年庆祝活动), Singapore’s iconic Lunar New Year celebration in the historic Chinese quarter, returns from 30 December 2024 – 27 February 2025!
With the Chinese Zodiac sign of the Snake marking the new year, this year’s decorations will feature stunning snake-themed lanterns, lights and ornaments adorning four major streets in the Chinatown district.
Other than capturing beautiful photos with the festive displays, visitors can immerse themselves in a variety of traditional activities, including shopping at the lively Chinese New Year (CNY) bazaar, joining art workshops, enjoying Chinese cultural performances, and participating in the much-anticipated CNY countdown party.

8 January 2025 – 27 February 2025 (Wednesday – Thursday), 7:00pm – 12:00am: Snake-themed installations and lighting (新春亮灯) along four main roads will be illuminated every evening. On the first day of Chinese New Year, 29 January 2025 (Wednesday), the lights will stay on until 6:00am.
