Chinatown Dragon Boat Festival 2024 (Singapore)

Chinatown Dragon Boat Festival 2024 (牛车水端午节庆祝活动2024), an event to commemorate the Chinese dumpling festival, will be held for 3 days from 7 – 9 June 2024. Visitors are in for a treat with an variety of engaging family-oriented activities at the festival. You can test your wits with lantern riddles, be captivated by enchanting storytelling sessions, get creative in dragon boat crafting workshops, relive nostalgia with traditional childhood games, discover unique finds at the pop-up market, and be mesmerized by the vibrant lion dances, the dramatic flair of Chinese opera, and the melodious strains of Gu Zheng music performances.

On top of the free activities available all weekend, there will also be paid events including talks on the festival’s history and a workshop on crafting Hainanese rice dumplings (bak chang 肉粽).

Note: The official Dragon Boat Festival 端午节 falls on the 10 June 2024 (Monday) this year. This event is a prelude to the actual day.
