Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrations 2024 (牛车水中秋节庆祝活动2024), Singapore's annual Mooncake Festival celebration in Chinatown, returns from 30 August - 2 October 2024. In addition to the vibrant lanterns and light displays that illuminate Chinatown's streets each evening from 7pm for 34 days, visitors can enjoy a range of traditional and cultural activities. These include a festive bazaar, weekend stage performances, mass lantern walks, a lantern painting workshop and lantern riddle games.
Lights by the Lake 2024 (裕廊湖花园中秋灯会2024), the annual Mid-Autumn Festival celebration at Jurong Lake Gardens, is back for 15 enchanting days from 8 - 22 September 2024! Visitors will be captivated by breathtaking lantern displays and light projection shows scattered throughout the garden, including those floating on the lake and in the newly reopened Chinese and Japanese gardens. Families and children can also enjoy a variety of activities, such as vibrant music performances, traditional dances, lantern riddles and movie screenings.
Shuang Lin Monastery Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration 2024 (双林寺《千灯焕彩,万众同欢》中秋节庆祝活动2024) will take place from 13 - 17 September 2024 at the renowned Buddhist monastery in Toa Payoh. Organised in partnership with Toa Payoh East CCC (PA), this five-day event features a Mind Sports Competition (Weiqi and Chinese Chess), a mid-autumn charity bazaar, a Buddhist music concert and a lively carnival. Visitors can savour a diverse selection of delicious vegetarian foods, partake in engaging games, and let the children enjoy hours of fun on the inflatable bouncy castle.
Singapore Hokkien Lam Ann Festival 2024 (新加坡福建南安文化节2024) is returning to celebrate Fujian culture and heritage from 13 - 22 September 2024 at the Lam Ann Association Building. This 10-day festival will showcase a diverse range of activities, including insightful talks on health, feng shui, finger art, AI and more. Attendees can also enjoy vibrant Chinese cultural performances and participate in various competitions, from Mid-Autumn lantern painting, poetry readings to talk shows. Additionally, a food fair featuring Lam Ann delicacies and snacks will be available throughout the event.
Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival 2024 (晚晴园庆中秋2024), the annual Moon Festival celebration at the historic Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, will take place from 20 August - 15 September 2024. This year's theme, "Moonlit Legends", features larger-than-life traditional lanterns depicting beloved Mid-Autumn Festival characters. The festival's highlight will be on 14 & 15 September, with a host of exciting activities as we celebrate in grand style before the memorial hall temporarily closes for restoration.
Gardens by the Bay Mid-Autumn Festival 2024 (滨海花园庆中秋2024) is back for 19 enchanting days from 4 - 22 September 2024! Visitors can capture memorable photos with lanterns inspired by Chinese mythology and nostalgic scenes from childhood playtime in old Singapore. Highlights include nine enchanting lantern displays scattered throughout the garden, as well s Singapore’s largest flower carpet featuring the national flower, Vanda Miss Joaquim alongside the iconic dragon playground. The festival also offers a range of activities such as a lantern walk, craft-making workshops, multicultural performances, a street food fair, carnival games and rides, ensuring fun for all ages throughout the event.
Mid-Autumn Family Fun 2024 (新加坡华族文化中心中秋合家FUN), Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre’s annual Mooncake Festival celebration, returns from 7 - 8 September 2024, one week before the festival itself. Enjoy a variety of ticketed and free activities, including seven interactive game booths, mooncake tastings from different Chinese dialect groups, photo opportunities with giant mooncake displays, moon and star gazing through telescopes, lantern riddle guessing, guided lantern walks, and family-friendly workshops on ancestry.
Mid-Autumn Family Fun 2023 (月满市区合家Fun 2023), a Mooncake festival celebratory event organised by the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC), will take place from 29 September to 1 October 2023. 14 ticketed and free activities have been specially curated to encourage families to celebrate the Mid-Autumn traditions with a modern twist. Visitors can find a range of activities from creative product fair, riddle-guessing 猜灯谜, stargazing, lantern walk, cross talk 相声, to craft workshops at this 3-day event.
Once Upon A Full Moon Concert 2024, marking the 5th edition of this annual musical celebration held in conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival, returns for three nights from 13 - 15 September 2024 at the VivoCity Amphitheatre, perched on the rooftop of the shopping mall across from Sentosa. This 1-hour concert will showcase original compositions by the TENG Ensemble, including their evocative piece "Childhood", as well as selections from their latest album, , featuring tracks like "Kallang Uproar", "Soaring" and "Concrete Jungle".
Once Upon a Full Moon Concert 2022 is a Chinese orchestra performance in commemoration of this year's Mid-Autumn Festival ( 中秋节 Mookcake Festival). It will be held for 2 days at Vivocity Amphitheatre on the 9 & 10 September 2022 from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. Presented by TENG Ensemble, popular tunes from K-POP, K-Drama, to movies and television series will be performed at this 1-hour concert.
