Singapore Writers Festival 2025

Singapore Writers Festival 2025, the 28th edition of Asia’s premier multilingual literary event, returns this year from 7 – 16 November 2025, taking place at various venues across Singapore.

This celebrated festival presents over 200 ticketed and free programmes, showcasing works and conversations with renowned local and international authors, poets, and speakers.

Over ten days, attendees can look forward to a diverse lineup of events, including meet-the-author sessions, thought-provoking talks, panel discussions, interactive workshops, live performances, and engaging exhibitions.

While most festival events require tickets, the following programmes are open to the public and free of charge:

• That Time I Cringed So Hard I Ended Up on These Walls (Art Installation)
  • Date: 15 October – 30 November 2025 (Wednesday – Sunday)

• SG Book Fair 2025 (Exhibition)
  • Date: 31 October – 9 November 2025 (Friday – Sunday)

• Fantastical Stories I Can Tell (Storytelling Sessions)
  • Date: 9 November 2025 (Sunday)
  • Time: 10:30am – 11:00am | 1:30pm – 2:00pm | 3:30pm – 4:00pm
  • Venue: National Gallery Singapore, Level B1, Spine Hall, City Hall Wing [Map]
  • Note: This event is recommended for children aged 3 to 5 years.

 

 

• Evolution Anthems (Live Performance)
  • Date: 9 & 15 November 2025  (Sunday & Saturday)
  • Time: 8:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Venue: The Arts House at The Old Parliament, Living Room [Map]
  • Notes: The event will be held in a shoe-free venue; attendees are advised to wear socks. It contains mature content and is intended for audiences aged 16 and above.
• “Welcome to Witchapour!” – Draw with Roland Garrigue (Participatory Activity)
  • Date: 15 November 2025 (Saturday)
  • Time: 3:00pm – 4:00pm
  • Venue: The Arts House at The Old Parliament, Living Room [Map]
  • Note: The event will be held in a shoe-free venue; attendees are advised to wear socks.

Notes:

• Tickets can also be purchased using SG Culture Pass credits.
• Prices quoted exclude a booking fee of SGD 1 – 6 per ticket, depending on the ticket value.
• Super Early Bird rates are available from 1 – 22 September 2025.
• Early Bird rates are available from 23 September – 6 October 2025.
• Regular rates will take effect from 7 October 2025.
• Festival and Youth Passes do not include access to individually ticketed programmes, but pass holders enjoy 20% off these events.
