Kong Meng San Vesak Festival 2026

Kong Meng San Vesak Festival 2026 (光明山普觉禅寺卫塞节庆祝活动2026), an annual celebration commemorating the birth, enlightenment and parinirvana of Lord Buddha will be held from 30 to 31 May 2026 at Singapore’s largest Buddhist monastery.

The highlights of the event include traditional Vesak Day practices such as the Buddha bathing ritual (浴佛), light transference ceremony (传灯), the “Three Steps, One Bow” procession (三步一拜), and the Thousand Buddha Repentance Puja (礼拜千佛法会).

Visitors can also look forward to a variety of family-friendly activities, including a vegetarian food fair, calligraphy and mosaic art flower arrangement workshops, reflective practices, and health talks.

Note: Some activities will begin earlier, starting as early as 17 May 2026 (Sunday).
