Kampong Gelam Ramadan Bazaar 2025 (Gemilang Kampong Gelam 2025), an annual event held during the holy month of Ramadan, will run from 19 February to 25 March 2025 in one of Singapore’s most iconic Muslim enclaves.
Like in previous years, visitors can explore over 120 food and retail stalls, enjoying a variety of delicious halal food and snacks, while Muslims can also shop for Raya essentials in preparation for the festive celebration of Hari Raya Puasa (Eid al-Fitr).
The 35-day event will also feature a range of exciting activities, including stunning light projection shows set to music composed by Singaporean composer Sha’aban Yahya at the iconic Sultan Mosque, engaging workshops, treasure hunts, a communal mass iftar, and live performances by renowned regional artists from Singapore, Malaysia, and beyond.
Arabic Calligraphy Workshop – Guided by artist Erwan Bar, participants will immerse themselves in the art of Arabic calligraphy, using traditional tools like the reed pen and ink, while exploring the meditative essence of the craft.
Batik Painting Workshop – Participants will have the opportunity to design beautiful Batik patterns on coasters, wooden frames, and glass flower vases in this hands-on workshop.
A communal iftar will be held on a Saturday evening to foster the spirit of togetherness and raise funds for those in need. Organised by One Kampong Gelam, attendees can reserve tables for their own iftar or contribute donations to support the underprivileged in the community.
